One Bread, One Body
The Church of Saint Patrick Parish provides a comprehensive program of Catholic Education for children, teens, and adults.
Registration forms are available in the back of Church, here on our Parish
website, or by contacting the Parish Office. Deadline for registration is September 10, 2023.
Catechists are needed for the 2023-2024 PREP program. All those interested in teaching our PREP classes this year, whether you’re returning or newly interested, are asked to please contact Fr. Phil by calling the Parish Office.
PREP Coordinator – Mrs. Dale Verchick has agreed to serve the St. Patrick PREP Program for the 2023-2024 academic year. Gratitude is extended to Mrs. Verchick for her willingness to coordinate our program.
Jesus' own words, “Let the children come to me, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as there”(MT 19:14) serves as a model for our religious education program. Our mission is to help the children and youth of the Church of Saint Patrick understand who God calls them to be on their paths to obtain the ultimate goal- to be with God in Heaven.
Class Cancellations
In the event that classes need to be cancelled due to inclement weather, please call Mrs. Verchick at 570-516-0107.
Parents: Please make sure to read the Handbook and Safe Environment letter that were sent home with the students. It is imperative that we receive the signed lower portion of the Safe Environment letter, indicating your permission to teach this curriculum. These came to you in the student’s Take Home Folders. Also, please remember to return your student’s Take Home Folders each week in order for us to refill them with important communication/information for you to review.
Students may bring one small snack (that can be eaten without utensils) and a bottle of water if they missed breakfast before Mass. We don't want our kiddos to be hungry and distracted!
Homeschooled children must be registered in PREP and are required to use the same textbooks as those being used by PREP students. Please contact Mrs. Verchick for more information.
Our 2023 Catholic Kids Camp was held July 17-21, and the children had a ball!
Our kids learned all about how they can be the light of Christ through a program called "Stellar" where we took the children to outer space.
Through games, crafts, songs, and snacks, everyone learned how important it is to shine Jesus's light to everyone. The week ended with a Lourdes-like procession, hotdogs, ice cream, and fun!
As a service project, the children collected items for the "SPCA".
We look forward to our 2024 Catholic Kids Camp!
