Altar Servers
Boys and gi
rls, who have received their First Holy Communion and are in the 4th grade or above are eligible to serve at our Lord's Altar. This is an important experience for a Catholic student and a service to our parish. Please call the Parish Office for more details.
Also, Adults are needed to assist as Servers at our funeral masses. Please call the Parish Office for more information.

CantorsCantors are the people who make the announcements and sing the psalm, hymns, and responses sung by the congregation during the liturgy. While reading music is not absolutely necessary, having a pleasant voice and the ability to learn music quickly for weekly rotation in the schedule is necessary. Being comfortable in front of the congregation is a needed skill.
Cantors are asked to abide by the following qualifications:
*Dress appropriately for Mass;
*Have good eye contact with the Assembly;
*Be prepared for the liturgy;
*Arrive at least 15-20 minutes before Mass.

Communion for the HomeboundIf you or one of your loved ones are homebound, please call the Parish Office to make arrangements for a Deacon or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to visit you or your loved one at home. It is our joy to provide this gift!
Rev. Hubert Asante Kumi visits the hospitals every week, and will provide the sacraments.
Deacons and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are happy to visit our local nursing homes or rehab centers.If you are an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and would like to volunteer to assist in this ministry, we would be happy to get you on the schedule.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the Presider in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist during Masses.
Requirements: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be at least 18 years of age and must have received the Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation; if married, must be in a valid Catholic marriage.
Training: All EM's must go through a formal training program. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Patrick Church. -
Funeral Planning
A death in the family is an overwhelming and stressful time for everyone involved. As Catholics, we understand that the funeral mass is not simply to commend our loved one to God, but to give witness to its own faith in the future resurrection of the baptized with Christ. We want your loved one's funeral to be special and meaningful, and to incorporate the traditions of the faith and to uphold the sacredness of the Mass.
When a loved one passes away, you will be contacted by Mrs. Jean Quirk to help plan the details for a beautiful funeral mass that will be a testimony to your loved one's faith in Christ Jesus. -
Liturgical Environment - DecoratingMany volunteers are needed to decorate St. Patrick Church for the Christmas and Easter seasons. The decorating dates are published in the bulletin closer to the dates of these Holidays. Volunteers are also needed on a smaller scale for Advent, Lent, and other Church feast days. Also, volunteers are needed to change and
iron the altar cloths for the different Liturgical seasons. On occasion, a seamstress and/or carpenter are needed for special projects. If you are blessed with a talent you would like to share, please let us know!

Music Ministry
We are very blessed to have two choirs at St. Patrick Parish. It is often said "He who sings, prays twice" (St. Augustine of Hippo) Come and make music for the Lord, and join a choir!
Traditional Choir - Our traditional choir leads the liturgical music at the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays (every other week). Practices are held on Tuesdays (non-Summer months) at 7 pm. Please contact Kathy Hampford at 570-622-6730 for more information.
